You do not always need a trip to Georgia or a Power of Attorney to apply for a personal bank account. LegalServices.ge can help eligible individuals with a remote personal-account route without PoA. Start with a suitability check and an explanation of the steps you complete as the applicant.
No PoA does not mean no identification
This route does not require you to authorise our team to act as your banking representative through a Power of Attorney. You still participate in onboarding and complete the applicable identity and compliance steps. The account remains yours; never share passwords or verification codes with an intermediary.
Personal use and business banking are different
Tell us what the account will actually be used for. This offer is for a personal account, not a promise of an LLC or IE business account without PoA. Business receipts, expected transactions and permitted account use must be discussed honestly with the bank.
What to tell us in your first enquiry
Include your citizenship, country of residence, intended account use, currencies and broad source of funds. Explain whether you need online access, a card or international transfers. Do not upload a passport, full bank statement or other sensitive documents to the initial public enquiry form; we will explain the appropriate document-sharing step.
Confirm the full scope before paying
Ask which route is available for your profile, what you must do yourself, which documents are needed, what assistance costs and whether bank or card charges are additional. Opening, access activation and physical-card delivery are separate practical questions.
Who decides whether an account is opened?
The bank decides. Assistance cannot guarantee acceptance, bypass compliance or promise every applicant the same timeline. The bank may request further documents or decline an application. Wait for account activation and confirmed instructions before planning transfers.
